Description: This app allows students from grades 4 & up to design, animate, narrate, and use video (self-made or imported) to show their learning and knowledge that is similar to Power Point. Students create slides with pictures, text, and video. They can import and export almost anything to and from anywhere.
Pros:
· App has good help section that explains every aspect associated with the different functions of the app.
· App is easier to learn how to use because it has similar features as Power Point.
· Allowed to use different coloured templates for work.
· Able to use text, pen or hand to write in app using different colours, backgrounds, font, etc.
· Can insert existing documents word, power point, pdf, etc. into project.
· The app allows you to import existing video and incorporate it into work.
· Can create own video and app allows you to insert sounds, narrate, etc.
· App allows you to copy, paste, and move slides around, lock inserted items on slide, etc.
· The app has lots of advanced editing features for the slides and video that students can explore and use in their project.
· Project can be exported to most cloud storage devices such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, iBooks.
· Project can be converted to PDF file or Power Point Presentation for viewing on computer.
Cons:
· You only have 4 templates to do work on.
· You need to lock your work in place on slide or it will move around on slide.
· When you open a document in PDF or Power Point on a computer you can only view the work, you’re not able to make changes to the project.
· When you export the project to Google Drive it creates a new stored document each time and you may end up with more than one saved copy. This could lead to storage issues, frustration with naming each version and finding each version on the storage device. You need to delete the old versions of the project.
· When you open the project in the app it creates a new version each time, so you end up with a lot of versions of the project on the iPad that need to be deleted.
Teacher Evaluation: Students are engaged when they use the app because it has various features that allow the student to use different learning styles. Students can record their work, use different colours, text types, create their own videos, etc. As a teacher you can assess different parts of the project or the project as a whole. You can use the app in all most all subject areas that allows for cross curricular applications.

Description: This app allows students from grades 4 & up to design, organize, and create videos to tell a story
Pros:
· App has good help section that explains every aspect associated with the different functions of the app.
· App allows you to use a different theme to tell your story.
· You can record the video potion or add photos using the iPad.
· Can insert existing videos or photos to the movie from other sources.
· The app allows you to import existing video and incorporate it into work.
· Can create own video and photos in the trailer using the iPad.
· App allows you to add music, change the theme, change the theme music, and align the music to the video.
· The app has editing features that allows you to change clips, move clips, change music, fade in fade out features an change the pitch.
· There is a story board that can be followed to help with organization.
· Project can be exported to devices such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, etc. after the project is saved to the camera roll, it can be shared in iTunes, YouTube, iMovie and sent as an email.
Cons:
· Editing process can take some time and practice getting used to.
· Videos take up space on iPads and time to export.
· Recording video and photos takes time and practice to get camera angles, action shots, timing, etc. good so you are not repeating the process to often.
· When you want to export the trailer you need to save it to the camera roll, unless you want to send it to iTunes, YouTube or other compatible devices.
Teacher Evaluation: Students are engaged when they use the app because it has various features that allow the student to use different learning styles. Students can record their work and it forces the students to be organized and selective in the photos or videos they choose to import. They also have to be organized and create a good story board to follow so there is less time wasted in the production process. As a teacher you can assess how well the students organize, storytelling, use of storyboard the information, collaborative learning, etc. in their video project.

Description: This app allows students from grades 4 & up to design, organize, create, and use video trailers to show their learning and knowledge. Students create trailers with pictures, video and text.
Pros:
· App has good help section that explains every aspect associated with the different functions of the app.
· App allows you to use a trailer based on a particular theme, subject or genre.
· Able to customize the titles, cast, creator, etc.
· Can insert photos into project.
· The app allows you to import existing video and incorporate it into work.
· Can create own video and photos in the trailer using the iPad.
· App has easy to follow storyboard to help create the trailer.
· The app has editing features for the slides and video that students can explore and use in their project.
· For students it forces them to be specific in the photos, video and text to be used in the trailer.
· Project can be exported to devices such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, iTunes, YouTube, Edmodo, etc.
Cons:
· You can only create trailer in templates given, however there are 12 to choose from.
· You can only do your work in the given format of the trailer chosen and you can’t modify the trailer’s format.
· There is a fixed amount of time for each trailer.
· There is a limited amount of space to type text in.
· When you want to export the trailer you need to save it to the camera roll, unless you want to send it to iTunes, YouTube or other compatible devices.
